Nettle fiber is a bast fiber extracted from the stalks of the stinging nettle plant. The fibers have a fine natural sheen and can be processed into long, flexible strands similar in character to flax.
Handling Notes
- Nettle Fiber can be used to make sailcloths, ropes, clothing, and other textile products
- It spins and weaves similarly to flax and blends well with wool or silk for added softness
- It is naturally antibacterial and moisture-wicking, meaning no chemical treatments are necessary to achieve these benefits
