East Fork Red is a smooth stoneware clay body developed with Western North Carolina–based ceramic manufacturer East Fork Pottery, made specifically to fire in a high fire gas reduction kiln. This sample is dry clay. Water is added to it to make wet clay, and then it will be formed and fired.
Handling Notes
- Specifically made to fire in a high-fire gas reduction kiln and fires to an orange and red color in moderate reduction
- It is primarily used for wheel-throwing, hand-building, and slab work
