Honeysuckle vine comes from trumpet honeysuckle (Lonicera sempervirens), a climbing plant native to the southeastern United States. The vine has a flexible, fibrous structure.

Handling Notes

  • Honeysuckle vine is durable and flexible, but cannot be split
  • To prepare it for weaving, coil the vine and boil it in water for 3 to 4 hours
  • After boiling, remove the bark and hang it to dry in bundles
