  • Cane can be used to create intricate patterns and stripes on blown glass objects
  • It is important to heat the cane slowly and evenly before applying it to the gathered glass; using cold cane on hot glass can cause cracking
  • Since cane is brittle at room temperature, handle it with care and store it flat to avoid snapping
