HempWood® is an engineered hardwood alternative made from crushed hemp stalks and a soy-based adhesive, creating dense, wood-like boards. It serves as a sustainable substitute for traditional hardwoods and features a live-sawn grain pattern.
Handling Notes
- Resembles White Oak and can be used in various applications, but it's an interior face-grade material and not suitable for structural use
- Use oil-based stains for finishing, as its high density requires longer penetration than traditional oak
Provenance
HempWood®, Murray, Kentucky. Acquired 2024.
