A rectangular ceramic test tile with three rounded scallops along its lower edge; a mottled green glaze covers the upper face and runs down into dark pooled drips, with “ORIBE” pencilled on the pale unglazed clay below.

These ceramic glaze samples are made from barium carbonate and Gerstley borate. Other materials include chrome, copper, feldspar, and clay on a clay body containing OM4 ball clay.
