Biofoams are lightweight, airy materials that hold their shape while adding volume, cushioning, or structure. It is made from renewable algae oil. This material can be used as a replacement for synthetic foams.
Handling Notes
- Can be used for sculpting
- Carves easily with a knife or rasp (a tool used to shave off material)
- Hot wire cuts cleanly and quickly for larger shaping work
- Open foam surface soaks up coatings fast and unevenly without a primer, so seal before coating
