Musa basjoo pseudo-stems are the layered, fibrous leaf sheaths of the hardy banana plant that can be stripped and processed into soft, flexible plant fibers. These fiber banana (Musa basjoo) pseudo-stems were harvested in Western North Carolina after a frost, and then cut and dried.
